1. UBA band, wavelength 320~420nm, has strong penetrating power, can penetrate most transparent glass and plastic. UVA is the chief culprit of tanning the skin, but for the fleshy, UVA is an artifact of discoloration and appearance. Because the ultraviolet rays are strongest in autumn afternoons, the fall colors of succulents are very beautiful.

2. UVB band, wavelength 275~320nm, medium penetrating power, relatively short wavelength will be absorbed by transparent glass. UVB is the chief culprit for skin sunburn, redness and peeling, but for succulents, UVB can age and dwarf the epidermis of plants, thereby improving resistance (is concentration the essence?). But because UVB can't penetrate the glass to reach the room, the meat placed indoors in winter is easy to grow excessively.

3. UVC band, wavelength 200~275nm, weak penetrating power, almost completely absorbed by the atmospheric ozone layer. This is the most harmful to people, and short-term exposure can burn the skin. Of course, it is also used now. The germicidal lamps in hospitals are UVC short-wave ultraviolet rays. In the same way, it must not be used as a fleshy fill light.
